The first Christian Action Guild (CAG) “Shop for a Cause” boutique event in July was extremely successful, with more than 75 guests generating sales of almost $5,000 to fund the Food Pantry.
“With food prices increasing so much, the need for our pantry has been growing every month, and the proceeds of the boutique sale will make a huge impact in letting us serve more people and offer more types of food,” said Executive Director Kelly Ivan.
The temperature was hot but the cool items donated by many people throughout the Golden community attracted a happy crowd of shoppers with the opportunity to buy gently used or new brand-name items at a bargain price.
Guests had the chance to enjoy wine provided by Miners Saloon, charcuterie trays from Cheese Ranch and the always-popular Gold Mine Cupcakes!
The CAG team is very appreciative of the many volunteers, sponsors and guests who made this fun evening a great success.
