Each year, CAG Food Pantry and Thrift Store’s Christmas Under the Tree program identifies families we serve who could use help granting their families' and children’s holiday wishes.
HOW TO GIVE
To sign up as a donor, please fill out the form. Donors can be a single person, family or a group of people contributing together. There is no minimum amount that you must spend. However, suggested spending is $50-$100 per person plus up to $175 per family for shared household items. When you fill out the sign-up form, you can choose the family size or an individual you would like to adopt.
After being matched with a family, you’ll receive a wish list and family profile that shares some biographical information about each family member and their needs and holiday wishes. Gifts will be dropped off Dec. 11-15 to CAG office at 1401 Ford St. Golden, CO 80401.
You can also support Adopt A Family without adopting an entire family by donating at www.goldencag.org/donate and specifying Adopt A Family as the program you would like to support.
GIFT PREPARATION AND DELIVERY
After being matched with a family, you will receive a wish list and family profile that shares some biographical information about each family member and their needs and wishes this holiday season.
Donors will also receive the name of the family, as well as an in-kind contribution receipt for tax purposes.
Keep in mind that a wish list is just that — a wish list! You are not obligated to purchase everything on the list or spend a certain dollar amount.
Please wrap and mark each gift with the first name of the recipient and please bag/box each family’s gifts together and label the outside package with the family code.

Gifts must be delivered in person to CAG’s location: 1401 Ford St., Golden, CO 80401.
Delivery dates are:
Monday, Dec. 11 | 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 12 | 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec 13 | 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Thursday, Dec 14 | 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Friday, Dec 15 | 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Pull up to the front of the building and check in with one of our staff members. They will assist you with unloading your gifts.

Does your family need assistance this holiday season? CAG’s Adopt A Family program is open to current clients only. Eligible families wishing to be adopted can sign up through a CAG staff member.
