CAG is hiring an Executive Director
Position: Executive Director of the Christian Action Guild (CAG) food pantry and thrift shop in Golden, CO (Full-time Position)
Main Directive: Responsible for the planning, organization, and direction of the CAG operations, financial/funds management and programs.
Program Development and Management
Oversee daily/as needed operations of the Food Pantry, Thrift Store, and other programs as needed
Responsible for the implementation, evaluation and success of the CAG programs. Currently these include Food pantry,Nutritional Food Program, Crisis Fund, Holiday Programs, Back to School, Scholarship program, Thrift store and any Ad Hoc programs.
Financial Management and Bookkeeping
Prepare and administer the annual budget, following board input and approval.
Prepare periodic budget to actual reviews, including monthly and quarterly reviews, and periodic forecast updates with the treasurer, finance committee, strategic planning committee, and board of directors.
Make weekly deposits of sales and donations. Record these and all income and expense items in Quickbooks on a timely basis
Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate results, variances, and performance trends on both finances and operations.
Maintain up-to-date donor information in an appropriate database.
Work with independent bookkeeper to ensure financial records are maintained each month on a timely basis
Manage the expenses of the organization, commensurate with revenue generated and in line with the budget
Fund Development
Grant management: Research, write, submit, and report tracking for operational and program support and capital investing if appropriate.
Develop, implement, and manage fundraising and stewardship programs.
Identify, solicit, cultivate and steward donors and donor prospects including businesses, foundations and individuals.
Chair the fundraising committee and coordinate fundraising events.
Coordinate Colorado Gives and other giving strategies.
Oversee all communication to donors including monetary donation thank you letters and cultivating relationships
Create and expand effective relationships in the community and act as principal spokesperson for the organization with local organizations and businesses including:
Community and business leaders
Constituents (pantry users and other program participants)
Volunteers
Public Officials
Professional organizations
Potential Funders
Colorado School of Mines
Operations
Oversee administrative, financial and program operations, and all personnel matters for the CAG
Develop, review, and implement all policy, procedures, and operational reporting/metrics.
Give direction and leadership to the formulation and achievement of the organization’s annual goals
Work with the Board of Directors to develop and implement policies, procedures and long range strategic plans
Responsible for maintaining good standing with the Secretary of State, Food Bank of the Rockies, Colorado Gives, Hunger Free Golden and other local partner organizations.
Sit as committee chair and/or committee advisor on all CAG standing and Ad HOC committees including food pantry and thrift store committees
Develop and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff and volunteer team to ensure appropriate support of all departments.
Provide leadership, supervision, communication, growth and personal development for all paid staff and volunteers.
Create an environment with volunteers where ideas and feedback are encouraged
Oversee all daily operations of the food pantry and thrift store and is available during business hours and after hour emergencies.
Oversee the development of CAG’s annual report, community communications, social media, advertising, website and newsletter. Working closely with contracted marketing agent(s).
Create measurable operating goals on an annual basis to be reviewed with the board
Oversee and maintain all board of directors reporting documents and manuals.

Thrift Store Operations and Sales
Manage Inventory and thrift store donations.
Oversee Merchandising and marketing.
Maintain Supplies, fixtures, and hardware.
Other Roles
Oversee building and land maintenance and repairs.
Order and maintain all CAG supplies and equipment including all food pantry items
Maintain two-way communication and openness between board and executive director
Compensation and Benefits
$65,000-70,000 salary with bonus incentive pay opportunity
